Drainage & Utilities

Effective drainage is crucial in the design of asphalt or concrete pavements. The industry standard mandates a minimum 1% slope in any direction for drainage. At PLM, we typically design for a 1.5% slope to ensure thorough water runoff upon asphalt completion, reducing the risk of standing water as pavements settle and shift over time.

Underlying infrastructure significantly impacts pavement condition. Inefficient drainage and utility systems can lead to permanent water damage, necessitating costly replacements. Our proactive repairs prevent water damage upfront, saving both time and money in the long term.

The Process

Planning & Design

We assess your property to identify water movement patterns, the condition of the existing utility systems, and more. This step allows us to design a more efficient system for your property.

Excavation & Installation

We dig up the existing pavement and soil to pave trenches for new drainage and utility lines.

Backfilling & Restoration

We apply new paving materials to the trenches.
