Franklin Wirth Park Multi-Sport Court Reconstruction

Project Overview
PLM Paving completed a full reconstruction of the multi-sport athletic courts at Franklin Wirth Park in Brookfield, WI, delivering new asphalt pavement and sport court surfaces designed for long-term recreational use. The project created a modern multi-sport court complex that supports a variety of community activities while improving durability, safety, and overall park amenities.
PLM Paving was selected for the project due to its experience constructing athletic courts and a proven track record of successfully delivering publicly awarded municipal contracts.
Project Challenge
Reconstructing athletic courts requires precise grading, pavement installation, and surface preparation to ensure the courts meet performance standards for multiple sports. In addition to the pavement work, the project required coordination of specialty elements such as fencing, sport coatings, and detailed court striping.
Because the courts serve the local community, the project also needed to be completed efficiently to ensure the upgraded facilities would be available for public use as soon as possible.
Scope of Work
PLM Paving completed a full range of sitework and athletic court construction services. Key project elements included:
- Excavation and site preparation
- Asphalt milling and paving for new court surfaces
- Installation of perimeter fencing
- Application of color sport coatings for athletic play
- Court striping for multiple sports
Construction took place between May and September 2025, with work carefully coordinated to deliver a high-quality finished court system.
Project Outcome
The completed reconstruction provides durable, professionally finished multi-sport courts designed to serve the Brookfield community for years to come. With new asphalt pavement, specialized sport coatings, and clearly marked court layouts, the upgraded facility now supports a wide range of recreational activities for residents and park visitors.
